Crib Time Fun

Crystal has been such a joy to watch grow. Now that she has the scooting/crawling technique down, you would think that she would be good for a time. But rather than being satisfied, you can tell that she wants so badly to walk. She loves you to hold her hands and help her walk, and she'll use anything she can to try to pull herself to her feet.
This is why her crib is her new favorite place to be.

She'll reach up to the bar and pull herself up with all her might, then let out the biggest smile when she makes it. It's priceless.

So...you would think that standing would be enough...I guess not... Now that she's getting a feel for standing and moving while holding onto something, she's starting to stand with nothing but her balance....trying to at least. ;)
She'll pull herself up, set her feet, and then let go of the crib, or whatever she's holding at the time. She usually only makes it for a few seconds before falling on her bum. But it's adorable to watch her surprised face turn into a giggle or smile, then try it again.

Old Pics-Turkley Day

Thank you mom for sending us our camera port...here are some pictures taken during Thanksgiving break.

We took a week off and road tripped to Idaho to visit family. We had a BLAST in both Boise and Rexburg. While visiting Kevin and Chanel in Boise, Crystal went for her first swim. She wasnt sure what to think at first, but it didnt take long for her to love it.

Here is a pic with her cousin Mark and Chanel's little bro.

We had a GREAT time in Idaho with most of the family there. Brian cooked his first turkey, which turned out to be the best tasting turkey any of us had ever had!!! We sure missed Renae and Nathan, but that's the way it works when you live across the country. :)

Crystal and her cousin Gracie. It was so sweet watching Gracie pretend Crystal was her baby. Adorable!!

Crystal and her cousin Spencer...such a cute pic of them looking at Phil, Spencer's dad.

Crystal's first time at McDee's...unfortunately, she didnt enjoy the Big Toy as much as we thought...good times.

And last but not least...here is a pic of Brian's Broken foot...he didnt realize there was frost on the deck as he ran up the steps. Dont worry though-his foot wasnt the only thing broken...he gave the deck's post a good beating as well. ;)

GOOD TIMES!!!

Man We Love This Girl!!!

One of our favorite new things with Crystal is that she LOVES to give kisses and cuddle. Here is a picture of her giving a kiss, where she'll reach our and grab your face, open her mouth as wide as she can, and pull your face into hers. It's worth it to get slobbered all over!! She loves to cuddle as well, and melts everyone's heart when she does so. She'll look up at you, smile, then lay her head on your chest and, with a smile, she'll softly hum. SOOOO adorable!!

Crystal has also mastered her rolling/scooting techniques and can maneuver her way to just about anything....whether this is a good or bad thing....we havent quite decided. ;)
floor.

It's a lot of fun to watch her as she rolls onto her stomach, gets on all fours, and then lungs herself forward. The best part of all is right before she lungs, she'll rock herself back and forth, as if to get both courage and momentum. It surprises me that she keeps her head up high enough so she doesnt just face-plant right into the

Christmas Time!!

We're happy to say our little Crystal is finally on the up-side and doing well. We had a great Christmas with Brian's family this year. They have a great tradition every Christmas eve where they spend the evening at grandma Nielsen's, who cooks up an amazing salmon soup dinner. After dinner, everyone gathers in the living room where we spend the rest of the evening singing every kind of Christmas song you could think of...yes...that includes "Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer!" ;) We had such a great time!!!
Here are a few pics from Christmas morning

Even though we loved having everyone home for the holidays, it's nice getting everything back to normal around here.
