Should we be worried? - 34 weeks

At my last OB appointment, the Dr. told me I had a few mild signs of preterm labor, but nothing to really worry about...no biggie, just be careful - done.

Today was another appointment. I was told I'm measuring a little small, had no weight gain, and was asked to schedule an Ultra-Sound to check on things... she didnt really explain - just said it could be that I'm tall and the baby's moved toward my back, or that I'm losing amniotic fluid, and that Dr.'s worries are usually 90% wrong, but that it's good to check. I didnt think much of it until I came home and realized an ultra sounds this late isnt exactly normal ...

Should we be worried? I guess we'll find out next week :)

HOPEFULLY everything is fine. I'm sure it is. Try not to worry.

If they didn't put you on any restrictions, I wouldn't worry that much. I had ultra sounds from 20 weeks on with Ava and everything turned out perfect. I'm sure everything is fine, try not to worry too much!

Even though I've given birth, I don't remember anything about terms or what is supposed to happen in each trimester. So, don't ask me! :)
So, on this note, how far along are you now?

I had low amniotic fluid and the thing the doctor told me to do was drink lots and lots of water. Yeah, when you're pregnant it's hard not to worry when they tell you things like that!

Good luck with things! Keep me posted!

I don't think that you have much to worry about. I had to have an ultrasound at 34 weeks as well to measure the fluid vs. baby ratio. :)

i wouldn't worry about it either. drink lots of water and take it easy. if you're not contracting you are probably just fine. and this is coming from the preterm labor queen.

love ya.

I am sure everything is okay. You would think that if it was super serious they would get you in immediately. That is when I would be a little worried. Can't wait to meet the new baby. Let me know if you need anything!

I think that you will be fine! Just relax, not heavy lifting---enjoy the last couple weeks with Crystal and enjoy the quiet!

I had a couple ultrasounds at the later weeks because I was measuring too small and they were just checking to see if the baby was big enough...sure enough he was big enough!! :) Good luck and keep us posted on how things go.

I can agree with everyone else. Just because you're measuring small with none to little weight gain in the last month is fine. I was like that with both Alice and Joseph. As far as "mild pre term labor goes, it probbaly means that you wont go over your due date. And what's wrong with that! :) Good luck though.

Even though there are a million manuals out there each pregnancy is different. Wouldn't it be great if you knew what to expect ;) You can have 7 babies and each pregnancy is different. That sucks. We'll be thinking of you guys over here. Love you!

LOTS of people have late ultrasounds and low fluid is pretty common. I've had 2 babies at 37 weeks and they were healthy and perfectly fine. Good luck and definitely don't worry, just rest more, which is hard with a toddler, I know!
